GOOD NEWS FOR COMMUTERS DURING DNC
REDBONES BARBECUE ANNOUNCES FREE BICYCLE VALET PARKING
Davis Square, Somerville, MA - During the Democratic National Convention (DNC), Redbones Barbecue is extending its free bicycle valet parking hours. Normally an evening service, July 26 - 29 the free parking will be available from 8:00 AM - midnight for the convenience of commuters opting to ride bicycles to work. Redbones is minutes from the Davis Square T Stop; the location will enable cyclists to securely park their bikes, take the Red Line, and arrive at work despite the closings of both Route 93 and North Station. Predictions of commuting chaos have drivers from the North searching for new routes to work. "It looks as if commuters will really need alternatives during the DNC and because of our location, we hope folks will switch to bikes and take advantage of our free service," says Redbones manager Chris Bol, adding "Redbones is at the end of the Minuteman Bikeway [the 11 mile bike path which runs from Bedford through Arlington and Lexington to Somerville] and near the Davis Square T stop so cyclists can ride in, valet park and hop on the Red Line to their final destination."
