GARRETT OLIVER TO SPEAK AT REDBONES
EVENT IS 12 YEARS IN THE BREWING
Davis Square, Somerville, MA -- Redbones welcomes noted brewmaster, lecturer and author Garrett Oliver as the featured speaker at the restaurant's April Beer Dinner.
The event on Monday, April 24th, begins at 7:00 pm and costs $40.00 per person. Reservations are required. To sign up, call 617.628.2200.
- 1994 - Redbones introduces a 24 tap system and becomes a local beer mecca by serving hard to find craft brews and hosting frequent beer dinners.
- 1994 - Garrett Oliver becomes brew master and partner at Brooklyn Brewery.
- 2006 - Oliver comes to speak at a Redbones beer dinner for the first time.
After 12 years, the match up of two players in the craft beer movement is overdue and Redbones is delighted to host Garrett Oliver on April 24th. An engaging lecturer, Oliver will provide a lively evening brimming over with Brooklyn Brewery's beer philosophy and the principles of beer with food matching. "We look forward to finally having Garrett here and know everyone who comes to the dinner will have a great experience," says Chris Bol, Redbones Manager and resident beer expert.
Among the beers Bol has selected for the dinner are the latest in the Brewmaster's Reserve Series and Brooklyn Brown Ale. According to Brooklyn's web site, the Brown Ale is "particularly good with... barbecue, where it can put its caramel flavors to work with the caramelized flavors in the meat." A pre-dinner beer starts the evening followed by a Brooklyn beer paired with each course of Redbones fare.
