REDBONES ANNUAL NORTHWEST FEST
THE NEXT DECADE

Somerville, MA -- Redbones taps beers from craft breweries in Oregon and Washington for this year's 11th Annual Northwest Fest. The left coast 'imports' will be on tap November 1 through late December with Beer Dinners scheduled November 14 and 15. Northwest brewer/speakers will be featured at the dinners along with their beers and Redbones fare, trivia and prizes all for $45.00 per person. For reservations, call 617.628.2200.

In addition to craft beer, the Northwest is known for its oysters. This year, to complement the Oregon and Washington beers, Redbones is offering Tuesday night menu specials - fried oysters and po-boys. Redbones regular and late night menus are always available to pair with the distinctive Fest beers.

"Redbones reinvents the traditional beer fest format for its annual Northwest event," says Chris Bol, Redbones manager and resident beer guru. "Rather than offering many beers for a few hours, we tap 50 plus outstanding Northwest craft beers over a period of 6 to 8 weeks. The big benefit is folks who eagerly anticipate this annual event have the opportunity to savor and compare full, frosty glasses of every beer at their own pace." Throughout the Fest, 4 - 5 Northwest brews are always on tap including old favorites and selections from first time participants. Click here for daily updates.

Returning breweries include Elysian Brewing, Full Sail, Siletz and Pelican Pub, winner of the 2005 Great American Beer Festival's Small Brewpub of the Year. Among the new participants are Engine House #9 and New Old Lompoc. Though sending beer would seem simple, many of the small breweries Redbones invites have limited production and are not licensed to sell out of state. Redbones encourages participation by handling all logistics; the outcome rewards breweries by increasing their exposure and local beer aficionados by tapping beers otherwise unavailable on the East Coast.
