GET TO REDBONES THIS MONTH FOR STOUTS,
PORTERS AND THE FRIDAY RAW BAR


Davis Square, Somerville, MA - It's all about stout, and porter, at Redbones in March. Stouts are on tap and in bottles as the perfect pub partner for the shucked-to-order oysters available at Redbones Raw Bar every Friday in March from 6 - 10 PM. In addition, stouts and porters will be featured at a beer dinner on Monday, March 21 at 7 PM. The dinner is $40.00 per person, reservations are necessary and may be made by calling 617.628.2200.

"The combination of dry stout and oysters on the half shell is a heavenly one, particularly when the oysters are sweet and chilled and freshly shucked... and the stout is smartly tapped and served cool," writes Lew Bryson at beveragebusiness.com. Redbones is known for the care it takes cellaring and serving all beers in its rotating, eclectic selection including the stouts and porters which will be on tap in March. Beer lovers can expect stouts from Cambridge Brewing Company, Dogfish Head in Delaware, and Oregon's Rogue Brewery and porters from Massachusetts' Berkshire Brewery and Harpoon. For the Stout and Porter Dinner on March 21, Black Cat from Portsmouth Brewery in New Hampshire and Storm King from Victory Brewing in Pennsylvania will be tapped and head brewers from these two top notch breweries will speak. "We are fortunate that one of our most popular speakers, Tod Mott from Portsmouth, is available," says dinner organizer Chris Bol, "and that Bill Covaleski from Victory is able to be here. Bill's beers are in high demand and this is a special opportunity for our patrons to hear him." In addition to Black Cat and Storm King Imperial, several hard to find specialty stouts, and porters, will be served at the dinner along with a menu of Redbones fare.
